I think out of all the parks I’ve visited so far, New Reoma World had to be one of the most chalenging parks to get to. After leaving Washuzan Highland mid to late afternoon, I took two trains to the closest train station to the park. From here, even though the park was open until 9pm, the bus from the train station ended at 5pm so I decided to walk the 3 km through the countryside to the park (not reccomended).
Luckily the park was open, but only one coaster Vivace, the park’s major coaster, was open for the evening. To make up for it, the park did have an large amount of lights for their winter illumination event. For awhile I’ve wanted to see a park that had one of these events and to call it impressive would be an understatement!
After a couple of rides on Vivace and taking a lap around the park, I turned on the flashlight app and walked the 2.5 km back in the dark through the Japanese countryside to the train station, waited 20 minutes while sipping some hot lemon vending machine tea for the train, and went to Okayama (I almost got stranded on Shikoku as I was on the wrong train at one point! lol).
