Saga is located in Kyushu Island’s northwest, offers plenty of natural wonders, history and artistry. It’s famous for being the birthplace of ceramics in Japan, namely historic pottery towns of Karatsu, Arita and Imari all you may heard of. Saga Prefecture is a small prefecture on the island of Kyushu. The prefectural capital is Saga City. The prefecture’s best known tourist attraction is its pottery, especially the pottery from the town of Arita.
Nagasaki prefecture consists of the mainland and hundreds of islands that dot its coastline. Being on the west coast, Nagasaki is well-known for its stunning sunset view over the turquoise ocean, its slow-paste island paradise and its pride for having the most variety of fresh seafood in all of Japan. Nagasaki was the only port that permitted foreign trade during the closure of Japan in Edo era, culture, knowledge and food from Asia and Europe flowed to and from Nagasaki. Today, many of the influences from that period such as food, architectures, festivals, and culture can still be seen throughout the prefecture today. Nagasaki now thrives as an international city with the mission to send and promote world peace. During the World Night View Summit in 2012, Nagasaki City was recognized as one of the “World’s Top 3 Night View” alongside Hong Kong and Monaco.
Kumamoto is famous for “Mount Aso” where one of the world’s largest calderas lies, and the beautiful sea around “Amakusa”—a group of 120 islands. Both the mountains of Aso and the sea of Amakusa are designated as national parks by the Japanese Government which make Kumamoto a unique land, even in Japan.
