The thing I love about Japan is the level of contrast you can experience. One day you can be in the chaos of the worlds largest city and the next day you can be in a quiet neighbourhood near Mt Fuji or in the middle of an empty field in Hokkaido.

I had the opportunity to experience both sides on my last trip there with @ryan_bednar in January and definitely prefer the peace and quiet over the hustle and bustle.

PS: The two Kyoto temples (Hokan-ji and Fushimi Inari) in this video can get busy during the day so if you want any peace and quiet, I’d recommend a sunrise mission
