I love that Japan has its own unique set of folklore and mythology. Other places I’ve visited are often influenced by Christianity and colonization destroying the original culture of the people. But, Japan maintains a distinct set of traditions. This mini shrine guarded by two kitsune (foxes), in the middle of urban Tokyo was such a beautiful little world to stumble into.
