This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

  1. Surprised you get questions about upload speed and live narration….I don’t think people realise how much work goes into this quality content, that is exactly what sets your channel apart from all others…. You know you get a beautifully filmed, detailed review, that is honest and unbiased…. All one could wish for when looking for information, or just wanting to enjoy the content. Thank you for your great work!

  2. Please dont leave india without reviewing Hotel Oberoi Udayvilas at Udaipur and Hotel Taj has also property at Same city udaipur i am forgetting its name but must checkout

  3. Out of curiousity i just want to understand what job or businees do you do that you are able to pay for such costly hotels so regulary which middleclass people only dream to visit about in lifetime😂❤😊

  4. totally amazing blogs kevin never miss an episode brillliant with changing flights and hotels so frequently how about a run down on your luggage carry on or more thanx lee

  5. Looking at your reviews, I would have loved it if you went and gave reviews of places like Oberoi Udayvillas or Umaid Bhawan Palace. Those are places which cannot be seen anywhere else in the world owing to the fact that they were actual palaces used by the royal family, some still are.

  6. The Bengaluru property is the chain’s flagship property – Chennai came up much later and this property was going to be sold even back in 2013 as the Leela group was cash-constrained. It’s location in the city is always going to be a big negative.

  7. Your last Leela Bangalore video was a gem to watch! This episode however is gem to watch in addition excellent selection of background music. At least for me it put me in kind of trance and focus! Great work!

  8. Thankfully, they still have the cushion dents. By now I image some kind of Indian-dressed pillow warrior going from room to room, giving karate chops to every cushion in sight, while shouting yee-ha!

  9. Thanks for the video Kevin. I started to watch your videos from the Taj Palace ones. I am a native from Chennai and have lived my entire life here. I have never set foot inside the Leela Palace. Thanks for showing how it looks and feels. I will keep watching your channel.

  10. As always, the review brought both expert commentary and fairness (maybe even a touch of generosity) in its scoring. For me, I would find it unacceptable that a luxury hotel with international aspirations would require guests to use the telephone to get real coffee in their rooms. And then not getting it is something else.

  11. It would be nice to slowly move the camera and zoom in when you are checking breakfast buffet items and also show the name tag of the food items.

  12. Another great review. Liked your reasoning for the review presentation, please do not change. One of your competitors sadly to say is now doing instant airline, hotel and lounge reviews, not the best idea I think to cross the Atlantic 4 times in 3 days just to report back to viewers. Small issue with latest event space became even space in text. Maybe use Chyron to describe compensation options.

  13. Leela Palace bangalore has been a lil extra since day 1, but there is a Leela property that put even Bangalore one to shame….The Leela Palace Udaipur…….I guess you know where to go the next India trip

  14. This hotel is much better than itc grand chola, Chennai. I had stayed in ITC, and my stay was not so good

  15. I think the review is fair and just .. but do you know the sewage and water supply and some electricity is not provided by the govt.. they take out truck loads of waste water to dump else where ..some floors were illegally built initially but that should not put down a visitor … Thier food courses are famous for marriages luxury style..

  16. A beautiful hotel that also suffers from ‘misleading marketing’, is so common even when they have a first rate property. You can remind them but will get nowhere. It’s so common in India, unfortunately.

Another common thing about most of such premier hotels is that they lack souls. Taj group does slightly better in that feeling , tho.

    Thanks

  17. Overall, not impressed. This hotel is $275 a night? Not sure, if I would spend that much in India. I mean India is a very inexpensive travel destination. Is there value here? Which is something that your videos do not touch upon. To me, this property is obviously meant for business travellers, who expense the cost. For a tourist, I think $300/night is out of line for what India means to most tourists. Although, the buffet breakfast looks very nice.

  18. Your reviews are remarkable, thanks Kevin for your fair well balance observations. Hoping to see a review from Eastern Island – Islas Malvinas – Machu Pichu – El Calafate – Lukla in 2024 🙂

  19. Hi Kevin. Thanks for the amazing content you've been working hard and sharing.
Would like to recommend a hotel worth reviewing in India – ITC Maurya in New Delhi. And also awaiting your review of Qantas airlines along with some of Australian hotels in Melbourne and Sydney.

  20. hotels of india are amomg the best hotels of the world, whether leela, taj, oberoi, ITC. Instead of dubai or paris, people from all around the world should come to india for great indian hospitality and culture.

  21. TRue…..it is not a seafront hotel…..stayed in the reviewed hotel n room…………..????

  22. This is the best hotel in India, I love the inside of it! Great vlog, I will go there on February 19 until 23 2024. :))
