You can see the maiko and geisha from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on January 7.
The opening ceremony for maiko and geisha is held on January 7 every year.
It takes place at “Gionkoubu Kaburenba” (Gionkoubu Song and Dance Practice Hall).
After the opening ceremony, the maiko and geisha will go to the teahouses and okiya to greet the new year.
