Vietnam reopening was officially launched March 15, 2022. As the pandemic has disrupted tourism for the past two years, the prime minister ordered more efforts to be made to attract tourists to Vietnam, such as decreasing Vietnam entry requirements as an immediate boost for the economy. Tourism experts also said authorities should expand Vietnam visa exemption to more countries in order to attract more foreign tourists. In this video, we will show you how Da Nang gives a warm welcome to visitors for their first travel to Vietnam for about 2 years.

  2. if I come to Vietnam from India with Tourist e visa 30 days and within 30 days If I get a job in Vietnam will my visa change into workpermit/Workvisa without leaving/Exiting the country (Vietnam)?

  3. I am travelling Vietnam on 6th April… I want to ask about health declaration… Airlines will help me for health declaration right? Because I am little confused

  4. British pilot got ripped off by Vietnamese hospital charging over $100k for COVID treatment. If you get COVID in Vietnam, you are FCKED royal by Vietnamese while locals pay almost nothing.

  5. Hi. Can I ask ? I want to fly to Vitnames
I am Vitnames nationality and my daughter under 2 age ( 19 months) Her passport is Chinese so I need to pay 10000$ for insurance healthy or not? And I need to stay qurenty or not in a hotel 1 week with her?

  6. They need to give 30d exemptions to all the countries that qualify for evisas now, and make the evisa 90 days instead. It's not that difficult. Cut out agents and embassies.

  7. Thank you for the update. Still waiting on further easing of travel rules and seeing if they implement the v pass which would make things more cumbersome for going around.

  8. I’m from usa and plan on traveling to HCM in June for 30 days. So lemme get this straight, I would just need
    1. Negative PCR test up to 72 hrs
    2. E – visa
    3. Covid insurance that covers up to $10k

    That’s everything?

  9. I see Vietnam is now requiring a $10,000 medical liability insurance for covid reason etc. Does anyone know how much this policy costs?

  10. The damn problem is no one in the high government from the party Secretary to the PM …wants to make the decisions and give clear instructions.
“Be decisive. Right or wrong, make a decision. The road of life is paved with squirrels who couldn’t make a decision”.

  11. Definitely! Please include Canada as well. I can get an e-visa now for 30 days or visa on arrival for three months but it would be more convenient if I didn't have to apply a week or so in advance but just GO like I can for Thailand. I would definitely spend more money and come more often if this process was more efficient as I LOVE Vietnam!!

As a side note I am back in Danang now after a two year absence. I can't believe how many places I used to go to are now closed – the lack of tourists has been devastating here but based on the big increase I saw in people passing through Ho Chi Minh City Airport a few days ago I think better times lie ahead this summer. Things are definitely CHEAPER right now although I do not think that will last. For example, my apartment that used to cost 9 million dong for a month in 2019 ($475 Canadian) is now 5 million ($275) and I got a scooter for one month for less than 2 million ($110).

People are itching to travel. For anyone wondering what it was like getting into Vietnam – pretty smooth – just make sure you get all your paperwork done before you head for the airport as I saw some people struggling with check in (our flight from Sydney to HCMC was delayed due to the slow check-in). You also do NOT need a COVID test now to travel to or from Saigon domestically – beware of airline company info which hasn't been updated. I only found out about that one when I went to the airport early for a domestic flight to Danang and was told I didn't need to take a test anymore.

  12. Vietnam embassy in Canada has been very slow in issuing new visas, and they require the applicants to book a tour with only one authorized tour agency in Vietnam, which is already overwhelmed and not able to handle the requests. Many Canadians have already given up travelling to Vietnam.

  13. Hi, any updates on allowing Non-US citizens to apply for 3/6/12 months tourist visa?
