Enjoy this virtual tour of East Potomac Park and the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC. Peak bloom occurs each spring when 70 percent of the Yoshino cherry blossoms are open. Trip Hacks DC founder and tour guide Rob took a walk during peak bloom to show you what they look like this year up close.

According to the New York Botanical Garden tracker, our trees here in the Bronx are only at 5% to full bloom.
Wow so pretty. Thinking of going this week thursday March 31st. Would it still be a good time to see the trees?
Great video, looks super busy, especially for a weekday. I wonder how busier it would've been had those blossoms enjoyed great weather to hold out for the weekend.
What’s an Elephant ear?
I am going there alone this Saturday. Any recommendations?
Thanks Rob, always a pleasure to follow you on your walking tours
The pictures are a little bit jumpy which make it a little dizzy to watch!
Anyway, thank you for doing it!
Thanks for all the information. It's wonderful. Do you think we will get this view on 2nd April 2022?
We are going April 9-11. I hope we see some cherry tree blossoms. My daughter was supposed to go to Japan for her make-a-wish but as of now they can’t grant International wishes. So we are taking her to Washington DC ❤️
Thank you So much Rob, We Love this video, very beautiful!!
Are we past the peak? We are travelling to DC tomorrow.
nice city]
big like 👍
I was just there last week looking out from the wharf at these trees from one of the restaurants! So pretty!
Thank you so so so much for showing Stumpy! That tree is very personal for us- Thanks!!!!!!!!!! Big Hugs To You!!! I hope you do many tours this year!
Thanks I will be there in the morning
Hi Rob great tour of the beautiful blossoms, my girlffiend and I were actually around the tidal basin that same day! We were visiting DC for the first time and your tips came in handy. Although as we were walking the mall we noticed that those ice cream trucks that park along the road often have their songs blaring constantly we thought it kind of messed with the ambiance lol
A lot of "SAKURA" !
Now Osaka pref. Japan,
Chery blossam.
Nice job. Thank you!!
美しい桜🌸110年間、大事にしてくれてありがとう。🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸
Beautiful😍🌸🎶👍
If I drink here, get arrested?
Omg that's so beautiful
The place is so clean
I see the train
I see the river
Plenty people walking
I heard about cherry blossom so I ask Google to show me
Oh gosh my my these trees so so beautiful
We got lucky! We were in DC for peak bloom quite by accident. We flew in for the weekend March 24-28 for our granddaughter's baptism. With all the family in town and a small baby in tow, we really didn't do much for the festival. But we did take a ride around the tidal basin, and go on walks in my son's DC neighborhood with the baby! Lots of blooms to see in places other than the tidal basin!

Forgive me if you've answered this, but what camera and selfie-stick are you using? What mic? Great video! Very informative and visually pleasing.
