With this episode, we kick off season 2 of Monorail Monday – some behind the scenes stories, a look at the archives, and some history of working at Disney (as well as Universal) during the 80s and 90s. This week, we talk about break areas for Monorail CMs, and the good and the bad. In between delivering the magic, we liked to eat and kick back off stage!
We love going on adventures to Disney, theme parks, traveling around, finding interesting and historic places, and things to do. Come along with us each week for new adventures and fun! Subscribe to keep up with new videos released every week!

  1. Those are some serious burger drawing skills! I bring my lunch every day. I just like my food better haha. πŸ™‚ Wow 30 min lunch is short! It's so weird to me how CMs are treated. Doesn't seem very nice – like having to eat in a maintenance cubby hole.

  2. Well lol now they all suck.. now run by Sodexo Magic as in Magic Johnson lol keep raising prices less service premade only can get your eggs over easy or a ham cheese and tomato omelet any more.. mk is basically a shack w vending mach unless you go to the backstage bistro behind main st. But the others just suck period lol and they’re rude! Other than that.. 23 eating.. lol

  3. Fantastic insight into the monorail 🚝 workings. Can’t wait for the next episode πŸ™‚

  4. Very interesting.Β  Love hearing the behind the scenes stories.Β  Does working there kind of take away the magic?Β  I think I told you before that I interviewed for Disney back in the spring of "92" and got offered a job but I didn't have my SSN card with me so they couldn't hire me.Β  Someday though I will work there, lol.

  5. Voice overlord πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ very cool learning about past break/lunch places. I could just picture the maintenance cubby hole. Maintenance burrito! 🌯

  6. This is very interesting! I like stories about the past happenings! Enjoyed this very much! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

  7. Great episode! Glad you returned with season 2! There is a security check point at the bottom of the escalator in the contemporary now.

  8. Woohoo season 2! So happy the voiceover lord returned. Very cool info Bill! I wonder if all those break room locations are still there or if they’ve been moved.

  9. Former monorail cast member here from the seventies and the original Mark IV's. Best job I ever had. Westgate Cafeteria at TTC was my favorite place to eat. However, it was not open for dinner, so if I worked late shift, I had to go to Bay Lake Beanery or bring my food. I truly miss those days.
