The beautiful cherry blossom season is starting to come to an end so we’re going to visit one of the most popular places to view them in Tokyo, the Meguro River, before they are completely gone. Many petals will still be on the trees, but quite a lot will fall from the trees like snow, and collect on the surface of the river.

Thank you for the beautiful walk, it seems like they're hanging on quite well this year? And it always surprises me how clean the streets are (and not just fallen petal wise).
Aw Meguro is cosy. They got a similar river setup north of Ikebukuro as well.
95.3k! Go, Cory, go!
Beautiful place in Japan.someday I visit in Japan
beautiful! i wish i could have caught better weather when i was there, it was so cloudy and rainy during the full bloom period damn you nature!
Gorgeous walk. I always love how Japan's gardening talent is applied to make some beautiful plant walks in the cities. Such calming spaces in busy cities.
Hi do you think there will be no more Sakura by this Saturaday and Sunday?
Aloha Cory,
Thank you for this video on Cherry Blossom. Never been to Meguro River for a walking tour, but my brother in law did take me on a nite Cruz and passed the area somehow. This was before the pandemic, 2019. It was an awesome site, especially when they are falling, itโs like snow. Did travel up north chasing the Sakuras in 2019 April time frame. Took a train scenic tour. It was awesome!
I just want to compliment you for doing what you do. All the video tours that you produce. I am wheelchair bound and accessibility is a challenge at times, but Japan has come a long way to make things accessible. I love coming to Japan just to venture, so seeing your videos, gives me another way of perspective, in ways that Iโm limited. Again, I appreciate you Bruddah!
Again, great video!

Ohayo gozaimasu! I am planning to visit Japan this year, in the fall. However I don't know if I can go with anyone, as I don't have anyone who can come with me. I know it's a very safe city but I thought it would be more fun to visit with someone else or even a group. I'm wondering–are there people who I can meet there to travel around with, or is this a ridiculous question? If I had a penpal from there it would be a more pleasant experience than to go alone. I am taking lessons in Nihongo to help me get around.
I have seen the sakura along Meguro River! It was 2018 and insanely crowded but also very cool. Nakameguro is also the very first place I stayed at on my first Japan trip back in 2010.
