Beef noodles are perhaps the single most famous of all Taiwanese foods, there are few things better than a giant bowl of thick noodles with a soothing beef bone broth, and Taiwan does it well. Liu Shandong Beef Noodles is one of the legends of Taiwanese beef noodles, old school, and droolworthy. It was an honor to have a kitchen tour with Taiwan’s King of beef noodles!

Location: Jin Da Lu Rou Fan 今大魯肉飯 (https://goo.gl/maps/3FvJook9MsF2mWbU6)

Perhaps the single most iconic and loved dish in Taiwan for Taiwanese people is Lu Rou Fan (滷肉飯), a sauce made from braised pork belly to eat over rice. It has its origins in Taiwan when people needed to take a little meat and stretch the flavor, creating a flavorful gravy. It’s comfort food and something that is dear to the hearts of Taiwanese people.

Next up on this Taiwan street food tour we’re eating scallion pancakes, one of the most popular street food snacks. They pancakes are almost roti style and you can get them with eggs, or full on with egg, cheese, ham, sauces, and extra toppings. It’s fresh, tasty, gooey, and crispy all at the same time.

Ah yes, stinky tofu, something your taste buds will never forget! It’s more than a meal, but an experience and something truly to be respected. 1. 19:43 Respect to Mark for trying these 😂. I live in Taiwan for 12years and i couldn’t eat these food. The smell is so strongs it’s like eating Poop. But I tried the Fried Version , the smell is less than the non-fried version. Delicious if you dipped in vinegar.

  2. probs health inspections and most of those places would be closed for cleaning if not forced to close for good.

  4. I'm glad you like Taiwan street food so much, there're also many great restaurants around.

  5. Welcome to Taiwan!!! Can't believe you are here! Hope you have a great trip here.

  6. If you come to Taiwan, I invite you to come to Tainan (another city in Taiwan)

Tainan not only has all kinds of food mentioned in the video, but also has a port full of fresh seafood and historic temples

It takes less than half a day's drive to reach Alishan to watch the sunrise

Half a day's drive south to Kenting, where there are a lot of sea trips you can take part in

Taiwan is a very beautiful country, one of the very few countries in the world that has both a coastline and mountains over 3000 meters

As a Taiwanese, welcome to travel to Taiwan

  7. RUN PLEASE . traffic situation in Taiwan is horrible. there are more than 3000 people get killed a year.

  8. that beef noodles had been open for long time, the boss,s dad pass the shop to the current boss

  9. Dude, your pronounciation is on point. Thanks for introducing places I didn't even know.

  10. Thank you, Mark. 感謝你介紹台灣美食,希望你可以多來幾次,因為在台灣好吃的東西實在太多了!😁

  11. Mark is the first one I have seen that has said positive things about stinky tofu. Quite a difference from the reactions of Kara & Nate and other travel vloggers.
