When you travel to Japan, you’ll most likely see many restaurants showing off their best food offerings in order to entice you in to their shop.
These food samples are very exquisite in design and are meticulously detailed from the shredded cabbage to the deep fried pork cutlets, even taking a look at them will distract you from an empty stomach as you gaze upon how much effort they make.
And yet, these samples are pivotal in breaking down any sort of language barriers, giving all Japanese tourists a glimpse of what they’ll be about to feast.
Japanese Food Samples are equally as important and they are often taken for granted.
The TGC Team has decided to team up with one of Japan’s premier tour provider, Omakase Tours with the Ganso Sample Shop in the heart of the kitchentown of Tokyo known as Kappabashi just in the outskirts of the famous Asakusa area.
Armed with a sense of curiosity, Masa (@masatanahashi), Shukei (Shukei Japan Travel Vlog) and Akari were fortunate enough to participate in this fun workshop designed to give a greater appreciation of these Food Samples.
If you’re in Tokyo, check out what could be your next fun activity.
Special mention to Omakase Tours for assisting in organising this workshop. Japan’s friendly tour providers and recent awardees for promoting and providing barrier free/accessibility tours.
