A walk down the bustling heart of Fukuoka City, in Tenjin, on a clear Saturday afternoon.
Fukuoka is one of Japan’s most laid back cities and frequently rated as one of the most livable in the world. You can still enjoy a big city life with about 1.5 million people, and yet still be in the middle of the forest in 30 minutes. It has good flight connections to many East Asian cities, as well as all of Japan’s largest airports. It’s one of the very few cities with the airport inside the city, not an hour’s bus ride away.
