  1. Outstanding hotel!! We stayed there in 2021 in a corner suite room. Breath taking views, great service and good food. It’s located in walking distances to many outside activities.

  2. Love Cape Town. Just a minor correction – it’s actually the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront. Prince Alfred, second son of Queen Victoria, visited the Cape Colony harbour in 1860.

  3. Of all the hotels you visited this must be my least favorite one. In my opinion the interior design is too tacky and messy. I would rather be stressed by it than relaxed. But the outside view is spectacular.
    Kind regards from Sweden

  4. Ohhh, my friend … you are very much braver than I am. I could not take one step inside, let alone eat there! The breakfast looked awful, by the way. Thank you, dear LTE, for all that you do!! May the angels protect you in all your travels!

  5. QUESTION: 🙋‍♀ The video footage is superb.💪 Can you share what settings you film on ⁉ I presume an iPhone 13 or 14 too ⁉ Many thanks 🙏

  6. These videos are just so perfect. No annoying voice overs, just point to point. Love it!

  7. I love the South Africa content. I was able to visit for a month in 1999. We stayed mostly in Camp's Bay. It was a month to remember. We saw all kinds of cool things and ate like kings (for cheap!).

  8. THIS ❤ is one of my favorite all-time videos, and I am a long-time subscriber 💪… There are many "expensive" and "lavish" places enjoyed on this channel, but this is on another level as the hotel is just so tasteful and cheerful… What a magnificent project by both the architect and owners… Congratulations 🙌 to them both ! ❤ And, to this elegantly captured video 💪

  9. I can see why you love this place absolutely breathtaking wish it was longer though I could watch this for hours thank you

  10. Beautiful hotel and loved the music played during this clip – what's being played at 21:08?

  11. I'm just out of a movie about slavery and genocide at this exact place (country and cities). I think I need to skip this week and I'm saving that video to watch later… Was a great movie though, just not an easy to watch movie. Majority of todays medical and research and museum skulls still are genocide+slavery-skulls, and especially south africa is so western and so popular for every traveler, because of that genocide. Nobody else could get up a culture there, so it became western country like. Just imagine you being forced to remove the skin of your own husbands head, that's what genocide-slavery was back in the days in south africa.
Nice hotel tough. I'm looking forward to two hours of videos next saturday… for me.

  12. Thank you for sharing i live in CAPE TOWN never thought of going as i heard o fthos hotel but now i will pop in definitely to see for real

  13. THE BUBBLE WINDOWS, INTERIOR DESIGN & VIBRANT COLORS! SUITE, VIEW, BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN ART!! POOL & THE SUNSET YES PLEASE!! ❤CAPETOWN ❤

  14. Firstly, I’d like to say thank you for this video. I found that as I watched it more, I was transported away from all the stress I’ve experienced this week. This lovely distraction is now my favourite video of yours. For me, this video had everything viewers would want. A quirky & unique hotel and an exploration of the area it is situated in. Thanks for the Close look at the amenities in the hotel and it’s food as well. I’m not sure if I would ride in that cute little train but everything else looks very inviting. Cape Town looks like it’s very beautiful.

  15. I was wonderring when you would go there, I slept there 5 years ago before the covid… It's a wonderfull place! With the V&A next to it, you just have get outside to enjoy so many places for a drink just enjoying the sun set, Happy to enjoyed it also!

  16. I love these videos of the Motherland you do. I've just always hated these mountains & waterfalls & hotels & places named after the colonizers who help destroy the continent. Other than that great video.

  17. This is a beautiful city without a doubt. The country of South Africa would definitely be worth a visit. The backdrop of the famous"Table Mountain" can be seen from just about anywhere for great photo, or film, and that speaks wonders. All over the waterfront area, there seems to be plenty of beautiful views. The Silo Hotel is so incredibly well prepared to become a "world class" resort in the "tourist congested" city of Cape Town. It's rooms are very nicely put. The history behind this hotel, I found quite amazing. Your videos are amazing. I view them often, thank you!!

  18. If I am ever down in Cape Town this is the hotel I would choose. Such an unique and eclectic place. Nothing like it compares… amazing. Great cinema-video. Keep the coming.

  19. Excellent content LTE. However – I must say this hotel does not come close to any of the places you have showcased on your channel – in terms of it being a luxury hotel. It is unique though – but not on the same level as the One&Only – which you covered in your last vlog. One&Only is truly a luxury hotel. The Silo is not. Beautiful views around it though.

  20. Those "pillowed" window bays are hideous. I didn't like the exposed old concrete and ancient bits of machinery. The furnishings and decor not modern 21st century. I liked the demeanor of the hired help. They looked capable, intelligent and efficient.

  21. Staying at The Silo would be a NO from me. Restful, serene, and luxurious are three words I would not associate with the property. Best enjoyed by those who favor the eclectic. Cocktails and dinner? Yes. Stay? Nope.

  22. What an amazing place! So colorful and I love how the old mixes well with the new. 😊
