Cherry Blossom Guide 2023. I went to see cherry blossoms yesterday (end of March) – did you know, you still can see them during mid-April too!? in Tokyo! Please watch until the end to find out how to check when and where exactly the Sakura are in full bloom – complete with reports and pics – and I’m NOT talking about the forecast.

I also hope you guys will get to visit the hidden cherry blossom spot I went to in Osaka near the city. It’s very quiet and completely free of tourism – it’s lined with 1400 cherry trees, they have a festival and also night illumination. Awesomeness.

I’ve also gone through some tips for cherry blossom viewing, hope it helps!

Also a note as to why this video is so…raw, I crazy rushed it (sacrificing sleep) just to get it posted so YOU GUYS can make use of the information for your trip if you’re in Japan these couple of weeks or if you’re doing some early planning – so apologies in advance for the messy editing. I will do a updated fine tuned video later before the next Sakura season.

  1. Thank you for this video! I'm heading to Japan in a few weeks for my first visit! I'm nervous and excited!

I don't suppose you have any advice on where to find and buy sukajan souvenir jackets?

    Thank you!!

  2. Thank you! This is one of my two favourite times in Japan. I appreciate you doing this, I miss it greatly.

  3. Having options is great. Thanks for inserting dates, going over the website, and the weather! This will be a huge help during a trip. You're such a good guide! About what time does the sun go down?

  4. Thanks for the video. Your tip on looking for quiet places (even if it's "far" from the popular areas) is good.

  5. I love this video so muchhhhh ^o^. So many beautiful things in this video and it is very helpful for trip planning. Btw, you are so beautiful. Your outfit reminds me of Sailor Moon. hehe

  6. the Season of Cherry Blossom 🌸 is the Time of Dreams ,

  9. Hi Lisa,
I will be in Japan mid April going from Osaka to Hakodate and to Tokyo 1st week of May, hope I get to see some beautiful Sakura. Much love from Australia.❀⛩

  10. Hi lisa!!! Didnt know about that site! Amazing info as always!!! Follow and like guys, shes working hard to bring yhr content.

Im in japan now and the cherry blossoms have been incredible! I visited osaka castle park and sakuronomiya for my viewings in osaka. Incredible! Im in kyoto now and the cherry views from the kamo river are also amazing. 100% full bloom there. Im gonna miss them when my trip is over next week 😭🀧

  11. They look so pretty! Thanks for the video πŸ˜€
I didn't know there were sites that showed all this. Handy for next time!

BTW, the first time I went to Japan, it was in mid-April and we missed the cherry blossoms by a few days (we got to see the plum blossoms though, which were just as amazing). So the 2nd time I went, we went a couple of weeks earlier and there ended up being a huge cold snap and no blossoms showed themselves at all >_<
(so if you're reading this and going for the first time soon, don't be disappointed if you get unlucky. Nothing you can do apart from go again next year!)

Sakura season is a fickle mistress!!

  12. Hope to return to Japan next time during Cherry Blossom season. That website looks extremely helpful. Love the Aussie accent when you said the word 'booze' too….lol. Another great video 😊

  13. ❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀ gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!

  14. The first time I went to Japan I was there for the whole of April and was very lucky with when the sakura were out. However, it was absolutely freezing and I didn't really have any warm clothes figuring it was Spring. It is definitely something to keep in mind, although apparently my year was out of the ordinary. Every night on the news they had film of snow on the cherry blossoms, and one of the biggest stories was the farmers having planted their crops that were probably going to die due to the late snow!

  15. Im arriving in japan from 11 april to 17,tokyo,can i still see some late bloomer? Like in ueno or sumida or gyoen
