Tobu 500 series Revaty

Tobu Tetsudo’s series 500 Limited Express EMU train named “Revaty” was introduced in 2017 and has replaced many of the Limited Express trains operated by the 100 series “Spacial” units and 300 / 350 series units on the Tobu Nikko Line (to Tobu Nikko, Kinugawa Onsen and thru Limited Express services to Aizu Tetsudo). Some Ryomo services on the Tobu Isesaki Line have also be replaced with 500 series, and more will be with the spring 2022 timetable, replacing Tobu’s 200 / 250 series Limited Express trains.

These trains are 3 car units but can be operated in a multiple of 2 (making 6 cars), thus giving more flexibility than the 100 and 200 (250) series which are all 6 car units, and are an upgrade in passenger comfort compared to the older trains (which are still in service).

The clips in this video were taken January 14th & 15th 2022 of “Revaty Ryomo” Limited Express services at Kita Senju and Ota (Gunma Pref).
