Thai people We eat durian with sweet sticky rice just like eat with mango.
Normal sticky rice we eat with Esan Thai food, Sweet sticky rice we eat with dessert like Mango sticky rice or Durian sticky rice. Never with a normal Thai white rice.
The best durian for me is D24
Greetings from Sydney Australia, I tried both Thai and Malaysian and hands down Malaysian is better.
No debate at all..Malaysian hands down
Chilled creamy durian with sweet thai sticky rice and salted coconut milk on top is good, that’s how I had it in Thailand
I just came back from bangkok, tried Monthong! I am not a regular Durian consumer in Malaysia.. I eat durian outside of its season even though its more expensive coz I cant wait for its Season (usually June – August).
😂 i Agree with you guys.. Monthong is more forgiving to those who wanted to try for the 1st time. It is tasty on its own way, smell doesnt stick on your mouth for too strong and too long.. The taste is similar to a Good Kampung Durian however the texture is totally different.. Some malaysian just arent fair commenting that Monthong are tasteless.. hahaha.. for me, you guys described it best especially Flora and TK. Note seems like he is still digesting and contemplating from the Long argued Malaysia vs Thai Durian.. 😅 But he has a fair point too.. Thanks for the Vid Guys!
The problem is Thai pple like durian abit raw so you can’t really compare
I used to eat banana with rice but I need a fish sauce to it. I think same goes with the durian and rice, though I’m not a durian eater but I don’t really hate.
Very dangerous to eat at a single bite. Can get choke. There is a seed within.
Thai durian is tasteless
No scientific proof u will die if u drink coke after durians la
Thailand not known for their durian, its Tom yum. Lol
Manthong durian from Thailand 30 years ago in Perth Australia was like $5 a kilo now it’s $20 kilo Australia
you guys were lucky that you went at a time when durian prices are much lower than they were before.
at one point (before the Covid pandemic), Musang King was up to RM90++/kg
next time you should try the RM70-80/kg musang king. won't be disappointed
There's no better or worse. It's largely personal preference.
No comparison.
It is great to know that, Malaysia durian is the best!
It's really, to each their own. Even as Malaysian, when people here mostly said Musang King is the best, I remember the best one I had was only a durian kampung (common variant, found easily in any villages in Malaysia). I never turned back to those premium durians no more. Except maybe when people pay them for me lol..
I've been drinking Coke and soft drinks with multiple types of durians throughout my life. I'm still alive!
Malaysia is world class durian~ pro mode😄
No blackthorne
Thai prefer their durian sweeter. I think as a msian, musang king is still the best. Old tree musang king is heavenly.
Hey there…just to share. If you're eating durian with rice, it's best if you can add in some warm salt water and perhaps if you want to add some sugar also it will taste good though. Take care
As a singaporean. Can confirm Malaysia durian the best.
U should try cendol with durian….
Most chnese destroy our flora and fauna just to make durian farm and make profit for themself. They are p en d a t ang in malaysia just like u guys
I have tasted thai durians before. It was tasteless😝
U want eat with rice just malay know how to cook the durian. Go to malay restourant and say tempoyak and sambal tempoyak..u will love it
Malaysia durians are the most fantastic fruit in the world. You'll either like it mostly or hate it badly. Thai durian is just a common fruit for Malaysians. You can't feel excited when you talk about Thai durian, but when you talk about Malaysia durian it becomes a controversial topic.😂 Example. Some people eat durian with steam rice, some prefer sticky rice and some prefer eating raw. Durians' sub products are just amazing in Malaysia too for durian lovers. We have many durians'products for durian fans to buy as souvenirs because durian are prohibited from carrying at many places.😂.😂
Wow! Such a cool thing to do! We actually did not realise there was different varieties like this! We only tried a durian ice lolly which we did not like so much, but we do need to try the real fruit! (Well some durian since there are different types)
as malay we dont eat with steam rice….just ask local for "pulut durian" maybe u can find a better of taste
Thai people like Malaysian are very passionate about their durian being the best. The end result is as expected. To satisfy Thai, we need to give them durian that we deemed as ,"potato" grade 😅
You have to know Thai psychology to understand this video. Thai people always believe everything from Thailand is the best! Their food, their vegetables and fruits. They will even argue with you whether their Thai K-pop star, their fake Rolex and Gucci are the best in the world. Happily, I have made a Thai eat Malaysian durians and ask her opinion. She had nothing to say. So a win for Malaysia durians.
Thai's durian TOTALLY CANNOT challenge Malaysia's durian! I tried both, but Thai's durian 2nd class only. That's why Thai's durian is not popular outside of Thailand.
If u want to eat durian with steam rice, u must take D15 durian..
Enjoy the differences and varieties.
bruh, we malaysian also eat durian with rice, but not ordinary rice, we eat it with glutinous/sticky rice + coconut milk + durian flesh 🤤🤤🤤
If you ever visit Sabah again you must try the local durian Dalit and durian Sukang. You can only get it in Sabah.
The way I describe Malaya durian is smell amazing it taste blend and it feels like soft butter. I was so disappointed as I expected to taste like it smelled like jack fruit does. You so close to 100K
Durian usually make our body feel hot, so we cure it by drink water from the skin (use the skin as a cup). Mangosteen also can give the same effect.
Also if you do not want your hand to smell, you can wash your hand from the water at the outer skin (pour water at the outer skin and wash from the water).
Im from indonesia, i try durian, malaysia, vietnam, thailand.. after i eat all durian.. i choose malaysia durian is better and deliciuos.. 🤗
Thais prefer not riped durian
durian from both country are good. its only a cultural difference of eating durian. Thai prefer slightly hard durian & they pick durian from tree meanwhile, Malaysian prefer soft ripe durian & we dont pick from tree, we wait until the durian naturally drop from tree. so both durian are good ,just cultural different & personal preferences. both Thailand and Malaysia has their own variety.
The original name for Musang King in Malay is Raja Kunyit (Turmeric King in English)
come to east malaysia
Love your videos guys – question for you both – we are coming to the mae nam area for live for a few months – what gyms do you recomend for bodybuilding?
Best durians are from Balik Pulau in Penang, even the prime minister had them helicopter flown to Kuala Lumpur.
Before eating durian rice, pour some salt water on the rice and eat it, it will be more delicious
I love both u guys. Very honest. No bias.
