This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that’s the way I like it!

I’m looking forward to the Taj Mahal Palace. This was my first foreign hotel stay in my life and it blew me away! This was back in January 1974, when it was called the Taj Mahal Intercontinental. I was joining my first ship in my chosen career in the Merchant Navy (or Merchant Marine as it is known in the US).
The experience was phenomenal, especially to a wide eyed 16 year old kid with little experience of the world.
Cape Town looked great too!
Nice one Kevin👍🏻👏🏻
Very interesting review. Cape Town is actually on my bucket list of cities I want to visit because it just looks gorgeous, any advice if I’ll come to South Africa?
Magnificent view! On a side note, slopped balcony floor might indicate underlying fatigued rebar on the structure. Hope you let the staff know about it.
👌🏽
totally enjoyable video and certainly made me feel like I need to go there!!
Highly recommend Nelsons eye for the best steak in town!
OMG a sloped balcony….the stuff right out of nightmares for me 😱 Can’t wait for your review of Singapore Airlines ⏳ I am about to book our flight to Bali and have to choose between Qatar, Singapore or Cathay 😅 Love to hear your opinion on it! Thank you for the great review! 🙏🏼
Thanks
This looks to be the place to stay. Can't wait for the taj palace review. If can be so bold, I wonder if the hotel negresco in nice is on your list? I'd love to see your take on it. That's also on my list of places to visit.
Rooms look a touch small and cramped and I cannot say I like the old fashioned fittings. There are more impressively designed hotels in CT. The view was however stunning!
What an amazing video Kevin! The views are just awesome. It’s a beautiful city.
And 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 to your new section, Need to know? Very helpful! Thanks a lot!
Not to be too fussy, but as a light sleeper, I noted that yours was an adjoining room. Any issues from noise coming thru the adjoining door from your neighbor’s room? Thank you!
Staff looks unwelcoming
Great editing
The need to know info is a great improvement, although it was difficult to read & process all info while it was on screen. Maybe put it towards the end of the video and leave it up for longer?
Taj follows the Indian Value of Atithidevo Bhava which means exactly what you mentioned.
I’d literally not go out of a sloppy balcony 🙈
Very interesting to see FE toiletries even in Taj’s International properties, you will also notice them in some of Vistara’s International sector aboard business class.
Tata always ensures to elevate Indian brands and has always been a true pillar of India’s success.
Thank you
Another superb and informative review. I am basing my stays now on your past experiences. Really helpful 🙂
Happy New Year. Your video is okay. Please desist from language like…move your butt!!
That’s rude!! The rest is good. Cheers.
Great video. I do think paying $303 a night is very steep for this hotel. It's more like a four-star hotel.
Kevin, I think you should show your face. Otherwise you will not find followeres in a sustainable way. Believe me. Good luck!
I like your very polished videos. I am considering a trip to CT in the near future but am a bit hesitant because of the reported dangerous street crime. I suppose it may be like Rio. What is your observation of CT safety? Thanks. L.
New subscriber. I’ve been binge watching your videos all night. I find it very useful in the description that you put what you paid in cash. I cannot stand when traveler reviewers state “ I just paid X Amount in points that I transferred from Am Ex….yea! But not all of us have Am Ex or airline points flowing out of our asses. While it might be useful info…real world people don’t have an unlimited amount of points. At an average of 60k100k points for Say a hilton night….you blow through 500,000 points easily. Hell, United wants 500k for business class round trip EWR-CPT. So for a couple that’s a million miles!
Two 👍👍
Now Tata is making their hotel company also global. How many hotels tata have outside of india ?
WTF was that… mirror between bathroom and bedroom ? Have they lost their mind..!!
