This temple is probably one of the most visited tourist spot in Kyoto – with its history dating back to the Heian period.
The most unique thing about this temple is that it was purely constructed with wood and not a single nail was used in the construction of this structure
Okamoto Honten (Kimono rental)
There are a few shops of course around Kiyomizu Dera or Kyoto in general such as Gion – Okamoto Main shop is located just a few 100m’s from the entrance of the temple.
So if you want to walk less – book this one online and in advance prior to coming down here
