Welcome! Staying in a big city can be tiring, but fortunately there are quiet places where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle. Today, let’s go to the Buddhist temple, from which the name of the capital of Cambodia – Phnom Penh – comes.

Wat Phnom is a Buddhist temple in the center of Phnom Penh. According to legend, one Cambodian woman named Penh found four Buddha statues and one Vishnu statue on the riverbank. On a nearby hill, which was the highest point in the area, she ordered a temple to be built in which these were placed. The name Phnom Penh means “the hill of Penh”. The temple was completed in 1373 and has a total height of 46 meteres.

May happiness be with this place.
