Alright let’s be honest – Mexico gets a lot of hate. Especially in regard to American news stations, and I’m not quite sure why!
Our friendly neighbors to the South are just AMAZING in every way possible – from the hospitality to the nature to the cuisine. I put together this full-length documentary about Mexico which highlights my most recent trip there – from Mexico City to Oaxaca to Chiapas to Guadalajara to Taxco to Tequila and everything in between. I love Mexico and spent 2 yrs straight traveling off the beaten path but it is dangerous in the end and I didn’t want to believe it until I got machete pulled on me in what I thought was a safe mountain village. So although I will love Mexico always but there is some truth in the media. I also have Mexican friends who were brutally murdered as well.

I just visited Mexico (from the US) for the first time and had a great time. Saw Queretaro, Bernal, San Miguel de Allende, and Monterrey. Queretaro and Bernal were nice, and Monterrey had stunning mountains, but San Miguel de Allende (though very touristy) is a magical place. A very special atmosphere.
6:52 Drew just FYI while "Bellas Artes" literally means "Beautiful Arts," the correct translation of the phrase is "Fine Arts." Same with French "Beaux Arts."
