They need to make these people wards of the court. Take them to a government facility for rehab and keep them there until they’re sober three years. Slowly put them back into society. We also need to change the laws and give drug dealers life sentences, not a slap on the wrist

I been to Vancouver in the mid 90"s for a few days. Beautiful sunny day something else wish I had a chance to experience. Vancouver B.C I believe in you, for heeling will be even better then ever.
I can imagine 1st world country is I worse than 3rd world country a lots of homeless in the city.
The Netherlands is the country with the most drug addicts, but there are no such images because the state gives free shelter and food to people who are addicted, it's a pity, I'm sorry for this situation.

I spent a month in Vancouver in 2006 for internship program… At that time, people told me for not to go to Chinatown. I couldn't imagine that it was like this.

Someone broke into my car and broke into my condo stole few items to feed their addictions within the same weeks. I'm so glad that I moved to Ottawa, Ontario
Our government makes it very clear that they want to rid the shame of drug use, not prevent it.

Visited Vancouver for the very first time in the spring of 2022 to visit my daughter.I had a great visit and saw some of the beautiful sights of the city and the vast areas around it.I went by bus through that part of Vancouver and it was sad to see,but again, it seemed to be just a small portion of that vast city.There are many cultures and ways of living,sights and eateries to see in Vancouver and surrounding areas,and you have to see it all before you can judge it as a whole.I found it educational and beautiful and will go there again.I also biked Stanley Park and visited all the areas within,highly recommend it.

Walked those very streets in October. Everyone turns a blind-eye to spaced-out zombies. Drunken antics. Open drug dealing. Like it's normal. Which sadly it now is. Stop turning a blind-eye to and rewarding bad behaviour.
