  1. Deciding which attractions you should skip depends on a lot of weather and wait times for us. On our last trip we skipped a few on this list because of the weather (too cold) or they just weren’t running (the smaller rides of DCA due to the winds), but others we tried because the wait times weren’t bad and we actually really enjoyed them (but had avoided them for many years prior). My daughter and friends that were with us loved Tom Sawyer’s (Pirates Lair) and it was a favorite of my husband’s growing up. My daughter also loved the Disneyland Railroad scenes and walking through Sleeping Beauty’s castle (which are skips for many others, I know). I think for a lot of things they should be tried to see if you like them and if they are worth waiting to do again or if they are a one and done.

  2. About the monorail. Many years ago you can do a roundtrip ride or disembark at Disneyland Hotel/ Downtown Disney. Now (as of last year) you have to disembark at Downtown Disney. Monorail would operate during early hours at Disneyland Park, then stop operating until later evening hours. If you disembark make sure you get your hand stamped for Disneyland Park re-entry if it's still early enough.

  3. First off I do enjoy your YT channel as a Disney Dad of a 10 year TomorrowLand castmember (Monorail pilot lead & trainer) I respect your opinion. I just personally think someone who has never been to The Resort to skip a ride not something I would do. For those of us that have been going to DLand since the 60s I pretty much know what I'm not going to go on. Appreciate your efforts and so do castmembers like my daughter 😊

  4. I only do Peter Pan when the line is 30 minutes or less.

As far as Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, it is like the American Adventure or Spaceship Earth at WDW- if history is not your thing, skip. If you are the kind of person who won't miss a Ken Burns special on PBS, then you will love it.

I have loved Great Moments since I was a kid, but history and English were my favorite subjects in school.

    My personal skip at Disneyland:

    -King Arthur's Carousel
    -Casey's train
    -both Dumbo and Astro Orbitor
    -Autopia
-Peter Pan's Flight (unless under 30 minutes)
    -Davy Crockett Canoes

My underappreciated rides and attractions that people skip, but should not:

    -Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
    -Mark Twain Riverboat and/or Columbia
    -Finding Nemo
    -Disneyland Railroad
    -Storybook Canal

I love the fireworks but agree about parades. I do not want to save a spot for an hour to see someone dressed up as Winnie the Pooh. However I think that children who really believe that the characters are real enjoy them.

  5. Seriously, Peter Pan? That's the best ride in fantasy land. I'll wait the 45 minutes any day. It's a suspended dark ride which separates it from the rest. Good content 👌

  6. Ok, first of all, don't skip the Disneyland railroad at night unless if you there until close and its because if it's the last train ride of the night, which is called a "Sweeper trip", then you should ride it so you could relax due to a really long day that you had in the Disneyland park, not Disney California Adventure park.

  7. Usually I like your videos. Disagree with this one. Maybe for someone like you those things are not exciting because you go so often and have for years.

  8. I definitely see your point with each of these. I’m not looking for thrills though . I’m 57. I’m an introvert. I move slowly. I avoid almost every ride on Genie+ and look for quiet spots. It’s what I love about Disneyland. ❤There’s Something for everyone to enjoy! ❤ Great video!

  9. U had me untill u said skip parades and fireworks!!! No way especially if u only go once every few years haha that’s some magical stuff that u can’t skip Aha ..but keep up the videos brotha and any hints on how to meet the most characters in the least time! My daughter wants to do that Aha …

  10. Depends on the make up of your party, with kids involved a lot of these are big no-way skips, if you're a party of adults then yeah I can see some of these. That said I can get behind Casey Jr and add to that Storybook Canal as big skip rides, ditto with Davy Crockett Canoes, and Purple Flick's Fliers… er I mean Emotional Whirlwind, and would shed a tear if King Arthur's Carousel was closed for refurbishment. 100% disagree on the Disney Railroad though, that a good way to get off your feet and just relax for a while without just sitting on a bench. And why are you even at Disneyland if you're skipping all the parades and fireworks? I mean ok all you care about is riding rides, I'd hit up Universal or Knots or Six Flags.

  11. I think you named all my favorite rides on this list. Except for the Astro Orbiters I agree with that one 100%.

  12. Walt Disney may come out of his grave to haunt you for saying not to ride the railroad 😂😂

  13. Generally good takes. Some attractions are usually skips, like Emotional Whirlwind and Golden Zephyr. Mr Lincoln is usually a good spot to get away from the crowds, something that Main Street Cinema (as shown in this video) and even the Enchanted Tiki Room may not provide.

  14. Is this Disneyland in paris one or USA one. Sorry for stupid question as i heard Disneyland is in multiple counties

  15. Really trying hard to start a fight, I see! 😂🤪
I haven’t been to DL in 10 years so i know there are so many new rides. My boys ask about riding a train all the time so I think that’s one we can’t skip when we go.
I could skip those spinning rides all day long!

  16. I would not say “rides you shouldn’t ride”. I would say rides you may want to put a lower priority on. Especially if you only have a limited time there. I would recommend riding all the rides at least once to enjoy the magic of Disneyland if possible. Everyone’s opinions of what’s fun is different.

  17. 3:01 I would like to make a counter-argument in favor of NOT skipping the Disneyland Railroad. To begin with. It's historical value to Disney history is so important, as trains were the reason Walt wanted to build the park in the first place. Beyond that, it gives visitors a great way to rest their feet and just enjoy the sights and sounds of Disneyland for awhile. Plus, who doesn’t love steam engines?

  18. So basically 10 minutes of you being wrong. I’ll give you pirates lair though. That is in such bad shape

  19. AGREED Casey Jones is a waste of time, Mr. Lincoln who cares, Nemo subs aren't anywhere as good as it used to be, Astro Orbiter boring, canoes nooooo, parades & live shows nooooo .. always loved Tom Sawyer's Island, Peter Pan & Carousel

  20. Honestly I like Casey Jr. Circus train in Disneyland so I disagree with that. It also depends what time u get on it. And yes I do agree skip Peter Pan’s Flight too long of a line. If anything get on it one hour before closing time that u should ride it. I like Golden Zephyr lol 😂. How dare u lmao 🤣. Fun fact I only wait 5 minutes at most 😬😬😬. Disneyland Railroad I use it as a transportation to get me from point to A to point B. The train is good to ride it later on in the evening when it closes. Even the monorail I use sometimes to get to the parking structure to get home

  21. Fireworks let me tell u I don’t skip however what I do is I find a spot near the Big Thunder area and u can get a really good spot watching it. U can even sit too. Just sayin. And then I head directly to watch Fantasmic hehe

  22. If you have kids, riding the Disneyland Railroad might be the highlight of their day. The carousel is also good for little kids.

  23. I actually found Tom Sawyer’s Island to be a hidden gem when I went over there. Fun caves and tunnels and other things to explore over there.

  24. Okay. You lost me with this video. SKIP these rides? They are quintessential Disney! They are originals and still hold the magic that Walt intended for Disneyland. ESPECIALLY Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln! That was Walt's baby and it would be a SHAME to miss it, especially if you have children in the public school system, (who not only don't know about the holocaust), but about HOW America functioned and our history. Problem with our country is forgetting our history! Sorry to be so "down" on you, but your opinions are your own and certainly not to be followed by THIS girl!

  25. So I just found out one of the days we’re going (May 24th) is grad nite 😫 Do you have experience with this? Is it crazy durning the day with teenagers going wild? 😅

  26. I agree with almost everything on your list except #5…. I’d skip the monorail and ride the train. The only reason for the difference is because the train actually brings you somewhere. It’s transportation. As the day winds down, my feet and legs are tired, and we have to get to the other end of the park, the train is a great way to minimize walking. The monorail only brings you outside of the park (To the Disneyland hotel), and if you ride back in you’re forced off whereas you can ride the train all day. To that end if you have a young child who loves riding trains and you want a 20 minute break, doing a round trip on the train is a perfect way to entertain the kid while sneaking in a break for yourself. There are lines at the stations, but most of the stations have ample benches to sit on, and the monorail has just as long a wait. Disneyland RR > Monorail any day.

  27. The railroad DOES allow strollers. We use it as transportation with our stroller every time. It's very helpful at the end of the night, especially with our 4 kiddos!

  28. Are you at the opening for mickeys toon town? I think I just saw your son going down a slide on a live in TikTok 😂

  29. We rope dropped peter pan’s and it was a 40 minute wait. I regret wasting rope drop on it but i chalked it up to a learning experience. We missed all parades and don’t know if they even had them when we were there since it was raining the day we were there. Thankfully we still had a good trip.

  30. This was a hard one. I love the railroad. And because I can't ride those spinning rides and the roller coaster's, I ride a lot of the ones you mentioned. And the perfect time to ride Peter Pan is at night after fireworks. Cause it's roped off. If your right there. It's a walk on. My sister and I did it on Christmas night.

  31. So interesting. We love 7 of your skips and stay away from many of your recommends. That’s why we have choices.

  32. I’m at Disneyland right now with my husband and daughter (her first time) Not having been since the early 90’s, I would say that the monorail and the train are excellent way to reacquaint or familiarize yourself visually with the park.
First rides we went on, met some great people and gathered some awesome tips, highly recommend.
