In this video, we visit three local Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen shops to try their takes on the famous Hakata style ramen. This style of ramen consists of thin firmly cooked noodle paired with a creamy pork bone broth that is cooked for a very long time. The shops usually provide a choice of toppings such as sesame seeds and garlic to enhance the flavors. I can say I was pleasantly surprised at how authentic Hakata style ramen tastes in Fukuoka compared to the famous chain shop locations outside of Japan.
