HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO THE LARGEST CHINATOWN IN ASIA?

WELL THEN, WELCOME TO THIS VLOG! I WILL TOUR YOU AROUND YOKOHAMA CHINATOWN, THE LARGEST CHINATOWN IN ASIA.

Yokohama Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in Asia with a large number of Chinese restaurants (that offers various cuisines), several shops, souvenir stores and even palm reading corners.

~Beijing Cuisine (Based on ancient court cuisine, these dishes are being served for Emperors). Roasted Peking Duck is famous for this cuisine.

~Shanghai Cuisine (The Shanghai area is blessed with fish and shellfish from the sea and the Yangtze River. The taste is thick and also a bit sweet, because of fermented seasonings like vinegar, soy sauce and Chinese wine. Juicy steamed pork bun are famous for this cuisine)

~Guangdong Cuisine (The characteristic of this cuisine is its variety. It consists of dishes that are lightly seasoned and that make good use of natural flavors. The popular dish is the shark fin soup.

~Sichuan Cuisine (Sichuan is surrounded by high mountains. It’s quite cold in the winter and really hot and humid in the summer. Because of this condition, this cuisine is hot and spicy. The top rated Sichuan dish is shrimp with chili sauce.)

It was easy for us to roam around Yokohama Chinatown because it was not fully packed with tourists and the weather was refreshing because of the bay nearby. Several shops were closed and some were struggling to invite customers. This current situation really had a great impact to their businesses.
