"buko" means coconut, buko-pandan is coconut and pandan together. the jelly in the drinks are called "gulaman", so if you see buko juice all around the philippines, it just means coconut juice
Great episode. Glad you enjoyed Salcedo Market π
Dammmm..! My mouth is watering.! From Cebu City Philippines πππ΅ππ‘οΈ
Siu yuk is called Lechon macau in the Philippines. We have our own local Filipino-Chinese restaurants with Hispanic names for some of the Chinese dishes, hence lechon macau for siu yuk. So we don't call it siu yuk, we call it either lechon macau, lechon kawali or roast pork. Salcedo market really started for the expat (and rich) crowd that lives in the Central Business District of Makati so you will see more international and modern/fusion Filipino food. Their prices are also geared for expats plus maybe inflation, that's prolly why you're over the USD 10 budget.
Am so full now, yummy yum-yum!ππ
if u have the option to add pinipig ( rice crispies) to ur buco pandan drink, the drink will be fabulous.
Longganiza has to go with garlic rice π Pandan is color green π You had such a great time π
Hope your lechon cravings are satisifed in cebu
This is my fourth video of you in one sitting. You two are amazing! Have tasty travels!

If you guys are still in the area, I highly reccomend the deep fried watermelons available on the Sunday Market which is in another park several blocks away. π
you guys are making me hungry!!! <3
Sweet and sour is common in the Philippines. Vinegar or sugar…nothing wrong with either!π
Your food Vlogs are very highly anticipated!
not good watching this at 12 amππ€£ mouth watering.
Iβve now got Salcedo Market in my must visit place for food when I get back to the Philippines in June. Thanks to you two!!
Practically all provinces have their own version of longganisa. The most popular ones are Vigan, Lukban, Alaminos, Baguio and Cebu. What you ate in Inengβs is probably a Hamonado longganisa, which is ham-like (sweet). Recado longganisa, on the other hand, is garlic-flavored. Hope you get to try different longganisas π
I love street food. Enjoy eating and have fun!
I've never tried longganisa on a stick. It's usually too flavorful to eat by itself. We normally eat it as a silog woth fried rice and fried egg.
You need to find Grilled Tuna Panga (jaw). Its not known in youtubers but its very delicious
your content is very addictive, 13 minutes isn't enough π’π π€ͺ
No better trip than a food trip.
"Buko" means young coconut with chewy meat, as against "niyog" which is the mature ones with tough meat. Niyog is where juice is extracted for cooking.
@7:30 You better eat the longganisa with rice or silog because its flavour is strong.
You should go to CAFE 1919 and BARBARA HERRITAGE RESTAURANT…..for authentic Filipino food with good ambiance and cultural show
MΓ©xico and the Philippines have a long history of cultural exchange including food. Search YouTube to get a quick lesson on the Manila Acapulco Galleon Trade from the 16th to the 19th century.
I enjoy watching your blogs.. β€
If you like lechon, try zubochon its originally from cebu i think, but the taste is reall good
Please check out βJolli Dada β for the best Pansit palabok in metro Manila. Itβs located near Quiapo church.
