During my journey around Tohoku, I made a stop in Sendai. After dropping off my luggage at the hotel, I had some free time to explore the city at night. Despite the snow I had encountered in Yamagata, I didn’t find any in Sendai.
Starting from the east side of the station, I walked around the station and stumbled upon some local food sales. I then continued walking towards the west of the station and explored the vibrant market district in the area. In the end, I made my way back to the station, concluding my night-time walk.
No cats were found 😿

Hang drum at 11:40 🙂 I like the sound of those. There is a really good video of a duo called Hang Massive, the song is Once Again ( I don't know how to link the video here) they play these drums beautifully.

Always curious. You commute to these places via pesonal car or public transportation. Do you then plan the route or do you use a gps application to mark your origin (starting place) then just wonder about the area until you return to where you originally started?

This train station shopping area is larger than many dedicated shopping malls in the West. I have been to a few of these large stations in various cities in Japan and they are truly staggering.
