  1. Thank you very much for this impressions. So i can see how was it to travel with this sbip.

  2. Absolutely brilliant channel buddy. Love my ferry trips as well. Can you put in more trucks loading / unloading from the ship's please. We in the haulage game love to see who's shipping out. Keep up the brilliant work. Safe sailing.
    Alan UK.

  3. weather in sweden is so awesome like i still remember those dead islands where was those birds and god those houses in sweden islands omg so much memories

  4. Your videos are brilliant however the Scots won't like you spelling Scottish Viking with only one t . Do you have to do emergency life boat station drill as you do on cruise ships when leaving port ? Thanks for sharing.

  5. Great vid, how long did it take you to get from Nynshamn to Gdansk? I get various informations about length of the duration. If you remember ofc.

  6. Thanks for a very nice presentation of everything that is happening around the ship and the travelreport that goes with it. I found you just about 3 days ago! See you soon!

  7. Americans could never understand the long-haul ferry business – which is so important in Europe. Then again, the US does not understand passenger rail travel…

  8. I remember a ferry I served on used to turn right around in Belfast on the narrow river Lagan using twin screws only, NO bow thrusters, or any assistance at all. This was in 1957.

  9. A British plug socket! Well spotted – very eagle eyed! Another video of yours I have enjoyed watching. Particularly interesting to see the shipyard which produced that great hero of Solidarity and produced Poland’s first true democratically elected President, Lech Wałęsa.

  10. My father worked on this ship, when the ship was bulgarian, under the name Ro-Ro Tzarevetz. Great ship with long history.

  11. I travelled on this in 1990, as the Stena Fantasia! I was 11yrs, and had a tour of the engine room with my Dad and the Chief Engineer. I remember him saying it was in Bulgaria before, which links up with the comments below. It was new to that route. We had driven back from Menorca, and had taken another ferry the day before from Mahon-Barcelona, on the Trasmediterranea 😉

  12. Waste of time watching. Mainly looking at the ocean. Do they serve foods on the boat. Apart from the doors to the cabins. Nothing shown. Could of been in any part of the world.

  13. Remember this old girl well. Crossed the English Channel on her regularly as a Freight Driver in various guises, Sealink Fantasia, Sealink British Ferries Fantasia and P&O Pride of Canterbury

  14. A fan of your videos, here! I do prefer just natural, diegetic sounds as opposed to music.

  15. Come from Dover – what was Wawel’s name when she ran o Calais? A SeaFrance vessel I assume?

  16. Such an old classic lady, very nice to hear her story. Strong feeling of 80's ferry there- not as glamouros as the real cruise ferries of the 80's but at her time most likely very purposeful. I wonder how she handle the baltic in rougher conditions.. I am curious to try her out but with nova star on the route its hard to justify picking wavel.

How do you recon the comfort is, with the cabin standards etc? Have you tried nova star?

love to see the old ships still out there, a favorite of mine is from the same year, so I have a soft spot for the old ferries with the bulky design for sure. Also reminds me of many happy days, I could almost smell the air when you walked on deck and heard the engine sounds.. Mmm love it. Same with the old wire ramps, memories from a great time working on an older cargo ship.. Now its all so modern 😉

Looks like where wavel calls is much more attractive than the Gdynia port, where ive been many times. Looked like a lovely day, thanks for sharing another great journey!

  17. My Father in law was the electrical officer on her when she was the Fantasia. I was the Resident DJ on her in the early 1990s. I know every inch of her. I loved that ship. I did an open air Disco show on her deck once. Just at the top of the stairs from the deck to the dome. Great times!
