In this walk I explore “Kaguraoka Park (神楽岡公園)” in the city center district.
In fall also I’ve been here to see beautiful autumn trees and leaves, but in this time I see completely different scenery because of the seasons change.
In winter we can see totaly silver view with snow.

As point of difference winter and other seasons, I realized we can play cross-country skiing too.
However, it’s just a little easy to get lost, because of the similar view.

Lastly, I have to tell that some cars including mine had to stay there a few hours, because of snowstorm after shooting the video & fresh deep ruts…

Enjoy your walk!

  1. It seems it's not very common to find places in Japan where you can go and be "lost" in nature like this, and see very few other people. Maybe Hokkaido is different that way, but what a nice find! Question about the map: there were pictures of different birds on it. Do you know if it's showing where the birds have made nests? Or are they just showing the different birds that live all over the forest? Just curious!

  2. I stayed in Asahikawa for 5 days. I walked to the park and walked across a bridge but didn;t realise how deep the snow was on other side of the bridge I went down in it up to my knees was difficult to get up. So pretty in the snow loved Snow Festival ice scalptures were stunning.
