早朝散歩。
6時40分、明るくなっていました。

・高杉晋作誕生地
この辺りは大きな家ではありませんが、
古都の雰囲気があります。
・萩城北の総門
・萩博物館
・萩明倫学舎
まだ開いていませんが、城下町の
位の高い家臣の街になります
→東にクルマで5分
こちらの駐車場は無料でした。
・松陰神社
・松下村塾
維新の志士たちを教えた・・と
幕末歴史に出てくる場所。
松陰は幽閉された身で教えたのです。
わずか2年。
しかし、この弟子たちが明治政府を担った、と
説明書きがありました。
近くに歴史館もあります。
「松陰神社」と言えば東京世田谷線に
駅の名前にもなっている。
あちらの方はどのように吉田松陰ゆかりなのか?
気になってきました。

島々がきれいに見えます。

程よく並んでいます。

クルマがけっこう行き来します。

土日だったらちょっと大変かも。

神社と池と風穴があります。
池では魚が多く、エサをあげられます。
風穴は涼しい風が出てきます。
年中15度ほどの温度で変わらないそう。
夏場に心地よいらしい。

空港では、広島焼の店が2店舗あり
昨年と違った方に入りました。
今回の旅行で広島焼は3回。

宿の近くも萩の城下町
幕末・明治初期で聞いたことのある

古い町並みが魅力的でした。
宿の人は、この辺りは見るとこが無い・・
なんて言ってましたが、私には
たくさん魅力的でした。
住んでいると珍しくなくなってしまう?
萩の街や展望台などを午前中に見て
午後は帰路になりました。
高速の通行止めが番狂わせでしたが、
間に合いました。
5泊6日の長旅を楽しみました。
