‘Bule’ means foreigner in Indonesian language and it’s probably the first word of Bahasa you get to learn while travelling this amazing country …

I first lived in Indonesia about 25 years ago and wanted to return to see all the magnificent changes and developments the country has been through.

In this video you will get to see the contrast between the old Indonesia and the new, very modern Indonesia, and Jakarta specifically!

Join me in a very comfortable place which I once called home …

  1. Selamat datang di Indonesia pak, I hope you like and feel comfortable in Indonesia, I highly recommend that you come to Labuan Bajo even though the costs incurred are very large, such as renting a boat and a tour guide,or if you want to see your culture at a low cost then try coming to Jogja and Surabaya or Borobudur temple.😁

  2. Go to the rooftop of Senayan Park mall…..it's probably the most beautiful spot in Jakarta today. But, you need to spend Rp 60k in the mall first to be allowed to the rooftop.

  3. Hahahaha you are right at the 90s Jakarta people get ready for clubbing until Monday, i have been that day were 24 hour hang out with Friends. That club' on Hayam Wuruk been close 5 – 6 years ago. But we have many option r&b night or live at hard rock cafe Sarinah 😬

  4. Of course you will be surprised, definitely Jakarta has change a lot, but not only Jakarta, but Indonesia overall, Jokowi as the President is deng xiaoping of Indonesia. he make the miracle specially in infrastructure, toll road in all over nation, making the new train network in south sulawesi and thousand project he has doing.

  5. you give wrong information about Indonesian history
Soekarno was never overthrown by Suharto
Soekarno was dismissed by the MPR Decree
Because at that time Soekarno supported the communism rebellion who wanted to change the ideology of Pancasila.

  6. I love your vibes, looks really seamless as like local people in Jakarta, a lot of knowledge n story

  7. Haha! Interesting listening to your experiences…I lived in Bandung (96 to 98) the same time you were in Jakarta…
I have extremely fond memories of my time in Bandung😊

  8. Just stick focus to tell the impression of the places you visit today compare to the situation back then 25 years ago.. do not touch the political issues.. its for your own good..
    Btw.. enjoy Jakarta,

  9. tape is fermented cassava and The black one is black sticky rice.
