Riding the JR Hanasaki Line, a local train at the farthest end of Hokkaido, we will see the beautiful coastline of Akkeshi Bay, the snow-covered Bekanbeushi Marsh, and the Ezo sika deers crossing the tracks. And then visiting Shunkunitai Island, “The miracle island”, where drift ice is rushing ashore.
Please enjoy!

  1. Very cool video. The closed captions are amazing. Love these long form videos. Insights are profound. The mind of an artist shines through!

  2. Konnichiwa !! If you go over to Dashcam Roadshow, he does a full drive around the farthest northern point, you are taking the train over to in Hokkaido.

  3. There's something lovely about the one car trains. Beautiful and quiet and really cold scenery. I'd like to do this trip. Thank you.

  4. 登録しました😊映像きれいですがカメラとマイクは何を使ってるのですか?

  5. The only bad part of the video is when it ends. Thanks for the video. I hope that someday I can go back to Japan and enjoy some trips like that.

  6. It's a great video..I've only been to the province. Aomori…I didn't go to Hokkaido Island..I hope that if I have a chance to go to Japan I'm going to try and take the train on the tracks in your video…😄😄

  7. 下週有道東鐵道之旅,感謝這篇有幫助新的旅行靈感,非常認同最後的JR北海道的危機~(嘆) 祝好🙏🏻

  8. That idea of a 'visitor's book' at a rural railway station is either unique at best or a very novel idea. Can't recall any other travel vlogger featuring one. Those vast areas of frozen lake and ocean were stunning, even frightening in a way. I was initially irritated at the intrusion of a music soundtrack, but you chose well. The irritation was brief. I can't blame you for hurrying back to the warmth of the bus. I'll never be able to travel there, so I thank you for doing so. Sayonara, is that the correct expression?

  9. The part where you said u don't the answer to those qns….beacuse, "FREEZING COLD!!" was hilarious 😂, you got a nice sense of humour. Can't wait to see more of such episodes! Lot's of ❤️

  10. So many incredibly beautiful shots! Thank you for the video!! I wonder which kind of animal those traces belong to 😄

  11. It's been 4 years since I was last in Japan, I'm 76yo & would love to go back one more time to see this part of your Country. Thank you for your time & trouble to bring this & your other videos to those of us who love Japan. Arigatou gozaimasu from Australia

  12. Hokkaido is very fascinating to me, especially the remote northern and eastern parts.
I love to watch the landscape going by and then check the bird’s eye view on Google Maps. As always, I’m looking forward to the next video!

  13. Hi TJ! Please don't die freezing and thank you for sharing your journey! The gradient colours of the winter sky are so beautiful!

  14. 10:30 "The bus is now heading to Nemuro Station, carrying only my unfulfilled love for Cape Nosappu"
Why this is sadly true :") I always wonder how local transportation in rural Japan always struggling to have any passenger, and it's always concerning on how they will survive the future when the population number is decreasing. I think travel videos like this is a good way to attract tourist to support these local lines.

  15. always wanted to travel to wakkanai/rebun/rishiri island in the north and kushiro to the east but the language barrier…

  16. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

And I am very surprised how much the nature in this part of Japan is similar to the one outside my window now! Snow, sun, sand dunes and swamp)

Looking forward to your next trip.
