The Snow Festival is back on after a two-years hiatus. Introduced with some amazing vintage photographs from American service men stationed in Hokkaido back in the 1950s. This episode is a step away from my typical landscape and nature photography content, but I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this awesome event. Please enjoy!
A great big thank you to Phil Peters and the guys at the ASA Chitose for allowing me to share these vintage photos in the episode.

That was fantastic! How amazing to see pictures from the past and then see it today.
You should make one on the ice sculptures at Susukino next year. Also if they bring back the Big air jump!
The pictures comparing Sapporo then and now was awesome. It’s amazing to see how much this city has grown. Also, my fave pic was the sunset picture of Odori. The sky looks stunning ❤
Shaun!!!!! Yukimatsuri I haven’t been there for a long time☃️
Those snow sculptures are amazing! Looks like a wonderful winter festival and I'm sure after a 2 year hiatus, everyone was rapt about its return. I enjoyed the snippet of history and this travel vlog style from you Shaun.
