AMANOHASHIDATE has been admired for centuries as among Japan’s three most scenic views. It’s pine covered sandbar covers the mouth of Miyazu Bay, of the the Northern coastal region of Kyoto and looks like a pathway from earth to heaven!

CHIONGI TEMPLE at the southern entrance of the Amanohashidate, houses one of Japan’s “Three Important Statues of Monju Bosatsu”, the Buddhist god of wisdom and intellect.
KAISEN BRIDGE : A rotating bridge turns 90 degrees and allows the passage of boat through the waterway that connects the Amanohashidate landbridge and the Monju area.
