Looks amazing. My great-great uncle Charles was the Archbishop of the Holy Trinity church there until 1967. I'm always curious about how Onitsha is doing because he always said great things about it. Love to see this place doing well!

Nice town Onitsha, Otu Nkwo. However, the concept of GRA in African cities should be done away with. It Carrys with it, dark and egdy history of subjugation of the natives. It's legacy is one of colonial recism and segregation, predicated on the illusion that the natives are not good enough to live beside the visitors. It is almost sixty decades now, since the colonialist left and we are still into this GRA business. When the British surrendered in 1777, the Americans changed everything British to American. Today, as result of lack of information and awareness, not only has the GRA tradition continued, it represents status symbol and prestigious addresses. We will be closing that chapter of shame and humiliation, in our history, to call those areas something else, instead of GRA.

I was born here but have continued to explore the world. The final one minute of your video captures areas of the Old Nkisi or GRA where I used to play truant with my gang of 9 to 11 year olds in 1972. We would scour the bushes for unspent or live M4 Assault Rifle bullets, we would then start a huge bonfire and toss bucket loads of these lethal ammunition into the fire and run for cover! The exploding bullets will send people nearby into a panic. One day we were discovered, rounded up and given a savage trashing. Another trick was at the burnt-out Onitsha Main Market before it was rebuilt. We would go in there and re-emerge with pocket

Anambra has potential but without planing and good urban renewal it will decay. The state government can recover those houses along the bank or Niger and plan a CBD (central business district) there and improve the skyline of the cith
