This is a tour of my local アトレ atré, a department store chain owned and operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR-East). They are located at every major JR-East train station and quite a few smaller stations as well.
Like any Japanese department store, they follow a familiar layout of having several floors of women’s and men’s fashion, cosmetics and boutique brands, restaurants, and a floor dedicated to food like cakes, baked goods, prepared foods, etc.
If you enjoyed this tour, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, and check out some other store tour videos in the playlist below!

  1. If you're watching the video and didn't catch the premiere of it, turn on the Live Chat Replay to see what everyone talked about! Make sure to also tell me what you liked about the department store, and ask any questions in the comments here. Cheers!

  8. Thank you for sharing this video. Being from America 🇺🇸, it is overwhelming to see what your kinds of stores offer. I love it. If I were to ever go to your country, you could never get me out of these places. I could spend hours, maybe even days in these stores. I envy you. Keep making these kinds of videos.

  11. Great to see these videos making a return. Really like your live streams but these let you show Japan in some more depth

  12. Out of curiosity, what makes this a “department store” and not a “mall”? I would have called it a mall if I saw something similar in the US. Thanks for the tour, Cory!
