Visva-Bharati University
Central university in Santiniketan, West Bengal
Visva-Bharati is a central research university and an Institution of National Importance located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India. It was founded by Rabindranath Tagore who called it Visva-Bharati, which means the communion of the world with India. Until independence it was a college.

अपने शांत वातावरण और साहित्यिक पृष्ठभूमि के लिए शांतिनिकेतन मशहूर है. ये जगह कोलकाता से 180 किमी उत्तर की ओर पश्चिम बंगाल के बीरभूम जिले में स्थित है.

कविगुरु रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर ने शांतिनिकेतन में विश्व-भारती विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना कर इस जगह को मशहूर बना दिया. विश्व-भारती विश्वविद्यालय कई मायनों में अनोखा है. इस विश्वविद्यालय में भारतीय संस्कृति और परम्परा के अनुसार दुनियाभर की किताबें पढ़ाई जाती हैं.
