My Garabandal Pilgrimage of July 2020
My first time in Garabandal saw me arrive in the early evening. The village of San Sebastian de Garabandal welcomes me with it’s immediate peace and stillness and the mountain dew was falling and moving over us.
I settled in the Hosteria de Garabandal for the week and I was looking forward to the week for much rest, peace and time with God.
I am very much aware of the story of Garabandal and I relate the events and messages of Garabandal with the message of Fatima. What the Blessed Virgin of Fatima began and warned about, seems to be continued in her Messages of Garabandal.
But for my pilgrimage in San Sebastian de Garabandal, I was focussed on time with God, in Pryer and silence. It was a spiritual retreat for me. But the silence of Garabandal has it’s own way of impact. Seeing the faith of the village and then seeing those who had firm belief in the Garabandal apparitions, such as Padre Pio and Mother Teresa, it made a more obvious impact on me. I never expected such a clear impact of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. But The virgin of Carmel is everywhere in Garabandal. Statues, pictures and the brown Scapular is worn by so many people in Garabandal.
The Blessed virgin Mary appeared in Fatima, during the Miracle of the sun, as Our Lady of Carmel and she appeared in the Village of San sebastian de Garabandal also as Our lady of Mount Carmel. Their is an obvious but underlying theme regarding this that tends to be forgotten I think.
The week I went to Garabandal, with no plan, happened to fall on the Feast day of Our Lady of Carmel and also the feast day of San Sebastian. More videos of the celebrations in Garabandal will follow.

Wonderful. You were so bless by Our Blessed Mother to be called out there. Looking forward to part 2! Blessings from Ireland.
Nice job Mark. π
The birds do sound dialled in π
Well done. We celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in my home town (Westerly, Rhode Island, USA.) My grandfather and 2 of his brothers were part of about 15 Italian immigrants who in the 1920's carried over the tradtion of celebrating this feast and venerating The Blessed Mother. Specifically the people of Longobucco Calabria, Italy prayed for Our Lady to break and awful drought to save the crops and it worked. The exact same thing has happened in Westerly RI. So whenever were're in a drought, people always say, "better get out the rosary beads!"
Beautifully done !!! Where the 9 pines are, will that be where all the people will be gathered during the Coming Miracle ?
Do you think my eighty year old aunt could make it up and around those steep hills and rocks ?
How many hotels are there on the grounds ?
Next May 13th is the feast of St.Imelda, young saint of the Eucharist. It falls on a Thursday as well. I love your accent. Thanks for giving us a taste of the present day look at the β€πΏπ
BELOVED GARABANDAL β
Beautiful little hamlet. I would love to go there and just soak in the atmosphere and history.
Peaceful place of reflection Mark, away from the madness here.
How much time will it take a senior (69 yrs old) like me to get to the Pines from the Hosteria Garabandal using the original path (unpaved) and using the new path (paved)?
Have to get their have to
I'm thinking of going to here, whats the best place to stay here?
