Fukui; the capital city of Fukui Prefecture, Japan you will see the tourist spots representing of highlights such as Japanese-style hot spring inns, and one of the best dinosaur museum; the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum with its world’s leading exhibitions.
The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum is an excellent museum dedicated to dinosaur research and education. The research have discovered over forty complete skeleton of dinosaur fossils in the northern part of the city. These fossils/skeletons in the exhibition room have gained popularity especially among children.
The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum exhibition consists of three zones. The Dinosaur World zone; with whole body real dinosaur skeletons standing in the hall. The visitors will enjoy the huge dioramas and large screens of the actual dinosaur age. The Earth Sciences zone presents a history of the earth sciences, sediments from land and the ocean as well as rocks and minerals. And The History of Life zone that shows how everything began on earth in the ocean and evolved through the passage of time.
Visitors can also participate in fossil excavation at the nearby Dinosaur Quarry which is separated from the museum and require online reservations at least two days in advance.
