Ishima is one of the rarest islands in Japan, belonging to both Okayama and Kagawa prefectures. In addition, although Ishima is close to Okayama Prefecture, it is one of the islands belonging to the Naoshima archipelago in Kagawa Prefecture.
In 2011, a wildfires destroyed about 87% of the island’s vegetation. Therefore, the appearance of Ishima is different from other islands in that much of the ground surface is exposed.
However, as you can see in this video, more than 10 years after the wildfires, the lost nature is slowly beginning to recover.

I decided to create a video of this island of Ishima with the hope that the nature of this island will return to its magnificent plants and trees in the future.
Therefore, the music that accompanied the video was the first time I have included African music on my channel. Also, the way I shot the video was based on the Scenic Relaxation video, which I admire.

If you want to go to Ishima, you must call the phone number listed on the website below to reserve a boat.
It costs 800 yen one way and 1,600 yen round trip. However, since Ishima is not a tourist destination, consideration should be given to the residents who live on the island.
