Sometimes the weather is just not on your side and you aren’t meant to get on the last bus out of town π
Today I’m taking you with me on my weekend trip to a few places in Northern Japan! This time I went to Ginzan Onsen, the famous Ghibli-esque winter snow town, and Fukushima–stopping in Ouchi-Juku to try their famous negi soba and then stopping in Aizu-Wakamatsu because…why not π
It kept raining and was way too hot in the daytime, but at night in Ginzan Onsen we were absolutely FREEZING π Sometimes that’s how it is!! I’d love to go back and stay in a ryokan there, but maybe in summer π

Japan’s Secluded Snowy Mountain Towns π¨ | Ginzan Onsen + Ouchi Juku (but we’re very unlucky lol)

Not every trip is destined to be as you planned it, but it's all about how you treat these little…bumps in the road π There were actually a few more unlucky things that I didn't film, such as attempting to go to three onsen and them all being closed and then having to pull off the highway at night because I couldn't see through a snow cloud π That's life!!!! So the footage is a bit messy since we were cold and wet the whole time π Oh well…let's call it…authenticity π
Thanks for letting us take part in this (unlucky) trip. It all looked very comfy and cosy on screen
You say you did everything but I'm not seeing you using the onsens or eating boiled/deep fried tofu
Love your videos, such good vibes
I am coming in end of Apirl…How is the weather? just not sure if we need shorts or pants
Lovely video thanks for showing us around. ππ₯°
Despite the bad luck I hope it was a nice trip! Please make a video again if you go in the summer to compare π
Great video!!

I was just there at Ginzan Onsen a month ago. I loved it!
I needed a blanket and a hot cup of tea to watch this. I did enjoy the sound of the rain though.
Wait, so the JR East pass is available to residents too?? πππ Hell yeah imma go places
Omg! It looks so scenic there!! π₯Ί
Such a beautiful place and snowy scenery!!
Btw your cardigan is so cute! I have the same one from Ehka Sopo π€£π€£
Wow Ginzan Onsen looks like such a beautiful place! We need to stay three months to be able to see more of Japan.
For all of your unlucky mishaps, it still looks like it was fun and your footage is so great and cute! That delicious looking soba with the warm fire nearby and the view into the snowy town! π
9:39 i think they are called people movers or at least that what my dad calls them and his work place has them lol ( i looked it up and it another word for monorail ? but who knows lol)
In the UK we call the 'escalators without stairs' travelators – a moving conveyor belt for people lol. It would be interesting to know what they are called in other parts of the world.
