Laughlin was a town largely formed in the 1960’s to be a casino resort. Today it has 10,000 hotel rooms spread across 10 properties, but it hasn’t changed very much since I visited as a kid. One of the huge draws of #Laughlin is the #Colorado #River where thousands of people rent jet skis and boats to enjoy the Summer temps. It’s only 90 minutes from the #Vegas #Strip, so is it worth visiting? It’s definitely worth watching this video!

This is part 1 of our Laughlin Casino tour and it includes a look at Edgewater, Colorado Belle (closed indefinitely), Pioneer Gambling Hall, Golden Nugget Laughlin and the Laughlin River Lodge. We also jump out on the water for a bit to see what it looks like + we look at the river, the pools, the beaches and even a closed casino! It was brutally hot, but I think you’ll enjoy this look at Las Vegas’ little brother on the river. Have you ever been to Laughlin? What do you like and not like about it? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Just noticed- this was in AUGUST, one of 3 months I try to avoid for dates to visit Laughlin (July-Aug-Sept!). too hot!!

  2. Loose money isn't out there
Anymore lot of convention are canceled and the homeless took over the parking lots.

  3. I'll be in Laughlin in June🀩πŸ₯°
Please don't tear down the Belle😒😭🀞

  4. Good video, I have been visiting Laughlin since 1982, I have seen it grow from a few casinos. The powers that could have really made Laughlin great. They really needed to put in a great boardwalk but for some reason they never did? Still a great little gambling town. A few business partners and I almost pulled the trigger and purchased a casinos, the old Armada. Keep up the videos, they bring back some great memories for sure. Take care Hawk out!!

  5. Man I respect it. Glad there’s someone else my age that appreciates Laughlin

  6. Great video one of my favorite places hopefully we can make the trip as soon as we reach heard immunity

  7. It's a beautiful place. I love the water taxi. It's such a fun, inexpensive thing to do. So many great date restaurants!

  8. In 1985 I remember The Regency Casino. An old casino with the best slots and great cheap food. I turned my mom and dad on to Laughlin. They would drive down from Washington to stay for a month at a time. They did this in the fall and spring. Some nights they paid $12 for a nice hotel room. Weekends went up to $35. Omg. They are both in heaven now. I'm happy they enjoyed Laughlin.

  9. Relocating from Florida to Vegas area was glad to see some water that I could hang out and relax in like the beach

  10. Bullhead is still the cheapest place to buy a home. Old Bullhead across the river from the casinos is dirt cheap. Commercial land, $26,000 buys a 50×100 square foot commercial lot with a view of the casinos on the Arizona side in Old Bullhead City, AZ. Unbelievable. And jet ski businesses are looking for room to expand.

  11. I live across the river in AZ. I avoid Laughlin like the plague to the point where I go clear down to the Avi to cross the river. A lot of vehicles get stolen out of the parking structures, drunks, nasty cops, fights….no thanks.

  12. Nice video……….have one correction. There is a "golden nugget" there in the Golden Nugget casino/hotel……..and always has been. It is located in the entrance to the hotel lobby……..on the left side as you enter.

  13. I have to chk on golden nugget ,river lodge and edgewater soon.ived been to the rest ,mostly in riverside.so now I know that its allowed to take vedios on casino.i do it nxt time.

  14. COLORADO BELL use to have big beautiful koi in the moat / and they use to display real alligators in the casino

  15. great video-weve been to laughlin many times, stayed at colorado belle, golden nuggett, harrahs and don laughlins riverside.so many memories, we meet some wonderful people there.

  16. I love Laughlin. A hillbilly Vegas? No. A kicked back, laid back, river laden, beautiful topography…I’ll digress. Thanks!!

  17. Stayed at the "Edge" many times. It's kinda in the middle of it all. And nice employees. Good comps too. Great vid.

  18. I’m here now 12/30/22 your video gives the town justice great video I really like this place look forward to coming during summer . Mini Vegas with a beautiful river and a lot of casinos and things to do

  19. Thank you for profiling my home town. I was born and raised in Laughlin my Dad worked at the co-gen power plant until it closed. Most people working in Laughlin live on the other side of the river in BHC but we stayed in Laughlin. I have so many good memories as a kid. There isn’t much for kids to do. There is not a square inch of Laughlin that my skateboard hasn’t touched. There isn’t a hotel swimming pool that I haven’t swam in. We used to pool hop from hotel to hotel all summer until security would toss us. I think my best memory as a little kid was saving little milk cartons. We would cut doors and windows into the side to make houses for lizards. We put them in the desert to make a little neighborhood for lizards. We actually believed they moved into them.

  20. It's sad what has become of Laughlin. I remember going there in the early 90's and it was a boom town. Harrah's, Circus Circus, and the Hilton all had hotels. It didn't take very long for Hilton to crap out and a few years later Circus Circus did the same.

The River Palms (now River Lodge) was my favorite casino of all time. It was three floors of gaming and it was packed! By 2008 Laughlin and the hotel had seen better days. In 2008 the Phoenix Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. Since Phoenix is right around the corner everyone was excited for the "Big Game." We were invited to a Super Bowl party on the ground floor (along the river) where there are 3-5 HUGE convention halls. EVERY ROOM WAS PACKED. Free food, free alcohol… and… the Cards lost. I was one of the first out the door and back up to the casino. NO ONE HAD BEEN PLAYING FOR FOUR HOURS… and no one was in the mood to gamble and party now. O.o

I said to myself, this is the END of the manager's career and the beginning of the end of this casino. I don't know about the manager but I was right about the casino. It was never the same after that and was eventually sold to Tropicana.

It's hard to tell unless you'd been there before, but Dotty's has hidden (i'm guessing) 40% of the casino space.

  21. There's a note in the desk of the Harrah's corporation about someone riding bit** on the back of a motorcycle!!!and a dead swat team on the floor!!! this happened in 2000 ish!!! possibly Laughlin!!!
