I flew AI in October 2022 (even made a trip report) and found them to be mediocre, at most. Hopefully TATA can help restore the former glory of this airline in the coming years…

Why do all aircraft reviewers do luxury class, first class and business classes? How about reviewing the cattle class? Oh yes, I know why. Because it's uncomfortable to take flights in the cattle classes!! And the airlines don't pay you for those!!

It used to be the best when it was under TATA group, now it is back in hand of Tatas , they have ordered 470 planes in 2023, Air india will rule again.

About 2 weeks ago I flew Pune – Delhi – Pune also with Air India. On the flight Pune – Delhi I flew economy on a 13 year old a320. Well probably the most leg space I have ever had on a standard economy seat..

Traveled Air India economy direct from Toronto to Delhi. Hated it. The plane was too old. The food was alright. The seats were dirty and old and less cushioned.
If Air India does indeed end up becoming better, I would love to travel again with them. But for now, I can't.

"Messy Selection of food" – I am curious to know what this means…Indian food is very diverse and South Indian food is very very different than North Indian food and so is west and east. From what I could see on your video, I see "Pongal", Sambhar" which are my fav South Indian dishes. I am sure, Air India tries to cater to the local crowd with the local food and so does every other airlines (If you go to the Middle East, I am sure you'll find food that is catered to middle eastern style). There is a stigma that says "AI is bad and dirty" and every reviewer tries to stick to this and only tries to focus on the bad. It's so sad.
