    People there are other cultures in the world, relaaaax. Just because its a pet in our culture doesn't mean its not good food as well. People in south America keep guinea pigs, to eat them. We keep bulls to produce meat. I'd love to taste guinea pig.

    I spent 3 months volunteering in Cusco. It is an amazing place with amazing people. I miss it so much!

    That's not exactly a Guinea Pig like u have as pet. That's is like 15 to 20 times bigger than yours and has thousands of years being consumed as food. They are grown just with herbs, 100% vegetarian. That's culture. Other people has chicken, cow, pig etc.; like pets and they think exactly the same when you eat them. That is relative.

    Bet majority of the people shaming her for eating guinea pig are looking like a bunch of hypocrites right now. You cannot shame people for eating one type of animal while you go and chow down on another. You can choose not to eat an animal and keep it as a pet, but that does not mean that others choose the same. You think a cow, pig, chicken, etc, are less than any pet you keep? They are intelligence animals that can feel and show emotions, and even have the ability to play games and solve puzzles, but you have no trouble eating them. You cannot eat these animals and then judge others for eating the animals you don't. Those animals are not worth less just because you decide so. So get over the face that people have been eating guinea pig long before you were born.
