This is the best Vegan Japanese Food I ate in Kyoto Japan! Come along for my Kyoto Vegan Food tour that you can also do in 2023. I was really surprised by not only the amount of vegan food in Kyoto, but the amount of vegan Japanese food in Kyoto! You can eat vegan dishes like okonomiyaki, negiyaki, and yakisoba at a restaurant called Gion Tanto. You can eat varieties of Udon, Curry Udon, and Japanese curry at Mimikou. You can eat a delicious set lunch consisting of rice, vegetables, miso soup, karaage, soy meats, and more at Muokuteki Cafe – they even serve a vegan Omurice! There are many places to eat vegan ramen such as Tokkyu Ramen and Towzen Vegan Ramen, which actually even offers a vegan take on unagi sushi!

There are more obvious options for vegan foods, such as at Coco Ichibanya, where they have an entire vegan menu of Japanese curry dishes! I was even able to eat those beautiful fluffy Japanese soufflé Pancakes at Ain Soph Journey! Make sure to watch until the end of the video, as I cover bonus tips including cafe drinks and street food throughout Kyoto.
