Could this be the best place to live in Tokyo? Maybe, if you’re living alone, need relatively easy access into central Tokyo for work, and are looking for a balance between lifestyle conveniences and reasonably cheap rents.

According to a ranking by real estate and housing information website Lifull Home’s, a number of train stations in Katsushika City, northeast of central Tokyo, rank highly among the best station areas to live in and around Tokyo for people living alone and commuting into the center of the capital for work or study.

In this video we head over to Katsushika to see one of the station areas for ourselves and also to take a look around the Shibamata area, sometimes described as a “little Asakusa.”
