  1. Unagi is the best! but I think I cant eat it alone on a stick, I like it on a rice bowl. Kawagoe is definitely on the list for my upcoming trip

  2. Never heard of Kawagoe. But I was usually getting from one major site to another and blew right past the places not on my list. That's why I need to spend some longer periods in Japan. You just need time to both learn about and find the gems hidden in plain site.

  3. Kawagoe, yes! That what a fun and interesting place. It’s quite an easy side trip from Tokyo as well! 👍🏻

  4. I was in a bad mood when I was there a few years back but cheered up by a shopping spree at Uniqlo next to the station. Shopping outside of the big cities can be very relaxed! Also… Dutch eel is better than Japanese 😅

  5. Kawagoe is awesome to explore! I really enjoyed my day trip there! I found a small shop off the main shopping street run by an older lady, she was selling fresh yuzu tea!! it was sooo yummy and a great experience!

  6. Love Kawagoe stopped at a bakery for breakfast and the day I went was a parade from Thailand so was packed with people .I took a rickshaw which I have done several cities in Japan .The rickshaw driver took lots of photos of me at temples and we stopped to get Japanese hot potato. train ride from Tokyo I think under an hour.
