Satoshi decided to take me on a trip for my birthday! We’re going to Ueda city in Nagano prefecture, a place neither of us have been to before.

  3. Such a fun birthday surprise! How long did the train ride take from Tokyo to Ueda?

The bento sounds delicious! And the one Satoshi picked is so retro but fun.

  4. There's nothing like a surprise trip as a birthday gift! And, that the destination was also a surprise makes it extra special, imo. I'm so happy to see you had a delightful birthday trip exploring Ueda City, Shinichi. (Thank you, Satoshi!) I have to say, Satoshi's custard jimannyaki made my mouth water.😋 I'm looking forward to seeing Part 2!

  5. 27:47 in Europe this is called "pâte de fruit" and you can probably find some really good one in a local supermarket while you guy's are here 🙂

  6. Sometimes I'm surprised how cheap some food is… 90 Yen for a custard filled "bun" is very cheap. I would buy 10, too!

  7. Happy belated birthday! The vacation lottery sounds like a fun concept. Even though it wasn't too far, it was nice to see you experience new places and foods!

  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY..
You look 25! … in that woolcap! ❤
I love that you get the fact it's all about 'The Experience' That you Share … not about Stuff… ❤🍥🍡🍣🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍶🍾🍶

  9. Happy belated birthday! What a great present, I would love a surprise trip.
I used to live in Nagano prefecture but i've never actually been to Ueda, just passed through, so I am looking forward to see more.

  10. Such a great start to travel with a bento and a nice ride!!!

  11. Happy Birthday Shinichi enjoy your birthday venture have a lot of fun take care guys Shinichi you deserve this gift 🎁🎂😘😘❤️🙏🌈💯

  12. Great birthday present! I cannot understand how retail businesses and restaurants in some parts of Japan make enough money to stay in business. Everywhere you two go, so many are closed. Do you need to get there before sunrise or after sunset? Maybe they are shy and see you coming and don't want to be on video. It was certainly better here. : – )

  13. Happy Happy Birthday Shinichi San!🧁 Oh by the way, the slightly longer length hair looks very attractive on you. Love from Rhode Island 😘💖

  14. When we visited Matsumoto, Nagano last summer we had a sake flight and really liked the Kirei sake from Okazaki Brewery in Ueda (亀齢岡崎酒造). I know I will visit when we make it to Ueda. I wonder if it will show up in the next episode or two. Happy Birthday Shinichi.

  15. Happy birthday Shinichi! Are you old enough to drink yet?😉 Thanks for sharing this special day with us. The candy looked so yummy!! The wrappers made them look pretty as well. Lots of love from Destin Florida U.S.A. 🥳🥳🥳🥳

  16. Happy Birthday Shinichi San, I am going to Tokyo in May, still planning where to eat and visit, Hope I can reserve Shinkansen tickets in advance.

  17. How fun to travel spontaneously and such a fun way to choose your destination. Happy belated birthday, Shinichi! Great idea, Satoshi!

  18. I love snow so I always enjoy your snow videos immensely! What a great birthday gift this was. Will watch for the next part! ☺🎂😄❄🤗

  19. Happy birthday Shinichi. What a wonderful gift to travel to a surprise destination. Nice castle town with snow.

  20. What a fun and spontaneous way to travel! Japan's train system is so good, it makes traveling fun and convenient.

  21. This video really has me looking forward to my first trip to Hokkaido in Nov. Can't wait to explore like you guys did.
