🌸 Kawazuzakura (河津) is an early blooming cherry tree. They usually start opening flowers in early February until early March. This happens quite slowly (it’s still cold outside) and so flowers can last up to two weeks. The best viewing time is mainly around the end of February.
🚊 VEHICLE:
🔹 You can choose to travel by train, the Odakyu line heading to Odawara, get off at Shin-Matsuda station.
🔹From Shin-Matsuda Station, walk about 5 minutes to the front of Matsuda Station on the JR line.
🔹 It takes about 5 minutes by bus to the festival site.
🔹 If you don’t take the bus from Matsuda, you can climb the mountain and follow the roadside directions for about 15 minutes.
