Sakura or cherry blossom season is one of the most popular times of the year in Japan. According to Japanese people, sakura symbolize spring, hope, beauty and new life. In each year millions of people set out to watch the blossoming cherry trees in full bloom and color.

The peak season for Sakura in Japan is generally from late February to early April. This is the best time for seeing the bloom in popular sightseeing destinations such as Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.

Unlike regular cherry blossoms, the Kawazu cherry blossoms begin in blooming earlier, last longer and are graced with vibrant pink hue.
